It was her first time and had no idea of how it was going to be like to be in heels. Her mum was quietly seated watching to see how her daughter was going to walk in her new heels.
She puts them (heels) on; ‘ your legs look smart in there’ said her mum. She gave a warm smile and immediately started questioning herself.
How am I going to walk in this? I’ve never been in heels; she said to herself.
Mum was patiently waiting for her to stand up and start making some movements but she was seriously wondering how to throw her legs about in the heels.
Are you not ready to make some moves? asked her mum.
I am; she replied. She stood up confidently from her seat and began to throw some steps.
(Mum bust into laughter)
Some few minutes later, her confidence was lost and couldn’t control her steps anymore at which she nearly fell.
See how you’re throwing your steps like a baby who’s learning how to walk; said her mum.
I’m already feeling pains as if I’ve been walking for an hour now; she replied.
Advice From Mom
My dear girl, I know very well it’s not easy but that’s how things are especially in your walkway to achieve your future. The beginning of the journey in life looks tough and not easy at all, but then if you are to stay focused, have confidence, and get yourself encouraged by you and the people around you, you’ll be able to pass through all difficulties and be successful at the end.
Take note that your legs in those heels and how it’s making you feel right now are telling you something: the life you see is not always going to be tasty but will at times also be very bitter and painful. But if you’re to plan well, put things in an accurate order, and lead your life well, you’ll smile at the STORM as you walk boldly and majestically in your heels…
