Dasalmado

Dasalmado

Dasalmado! Dasalmado! Dasalmado!

Pinch me in my heart and see its non-locomotiveness.

Act to my heart and see its blindness.

Serve me with your love and affection and see my carelessness.

Wrongly hit me and see my unforgivingness.

Dasalmado! Dasalmado! Dasalmado!

I am heartless, in case you don’t know.

I said the memories I stream in my midnight dreams are visually unseen and alas those dreams have become a reality by making me Dasalmado.

Dasalmado! Dasalmado! Dasalmado!

Try figuring out the number of hearts that I have, you can even employ the abacus or even beg Mr. John Venn to allow you to use his diagram of course!, I’m now Dasalmado.

Alas! You now know the outcome of the suicide committed by my emotions.

Oh yeah, am Dasalmado.

He came

He died for our sins

He resurrected

He ascended into heaven

He’ll come back and judge us according to our deeds but note that no matter the number of tears you cry, he’ll not be moved by them and as I said Gobierno isn’t your friend so will he also be Dasalmado that day.

Dasalmado! Dasalmado! Dasalmado!

I am heartless, in case you don’t know, I am even proud of it more than a Proud Mensah.

The father in heaven is now in charge of my heart and he has meandered a way to keep it and control it.

Don’t blame me; blame society for making me Dasalmado.

Don’t test me for I’ll always fail the test of testing the existence of my heart.

First scared at goodbyes, but now too good at goodbyes.

First scared for the tears being soaked by my pillow but now, the more or less it comes, the faster it dries.

Dasalmado! Dasalmado! Dasalmado!

Is I love you the new anthem of society? Cos when I came back with the heartless being, thus all I heard people whispering to each other?

Have you forgotten I told you not to go there?

Haven’t you understood the positives in letting go of what isn’t meant for you?

I’m dasalmado but a positive way?

The only vintage acts that move me are the voices emanating from the Bible and Qur’an, the vibes from Skery Zee and the sermon-like rap from Planet Machete.
