the soul-winner

The soul winner is a servant

only a servant to his master

His only wish is to be fervent

Oh! So faithful to his master

And although the World despise him

Though his feet hurt from travelling

Still, will he keep going, not for fame

But for souls, he stays travailing

One day at a time

That’s the life of a soul winner

He worries not, throughout his lifetime

For God, Almighty is his keeper

One day will the soul winner rest

And take his flight to the heavens

For he shall behold the results of his toil

and know that he is truly blest

When he shall see the face of the one’s he won

When his eyes behold the crown

Then shall he realize he is no more a soul winner

For the soul winner has become a prize winner

A prize-winner for his master

For he never did toil for himself

He did it all but for his maker

For all glory and honour belong to him
